EU Diplomacy Declared Ineffective in the Context of the Situation Surrounding Ukraine

Leaders of far-right parties in Europe have declared EU diplomacy ineffective in light of the situation surrounding Ukraine, following a meeting held in Madrid that resulted in a joint declaration. This was reported by RIA Novosti.

The declaration calls for "working to ensure that European countries act in solidarity in the face of external threats."  “Solidarity, trust, and cooperation in the field of defense among European countries are necessary in relation to such threats,” quotes the text of the document by Jorge Buxadé, a deputy of the Spanish VOX party.

Party leaders have also spoken about the “ineffectiveness of EU diplomacy.” “Each nation must have a strong and unified voice to defend peace, territorial integrity, and the inviolability of European borders,” the document states.
