Considering the Inclusion of Iranian Pharmaceuticals in the Armenian Market: Avanesyan
The potential for Armenian-Iranian cooperation in the pharmaceutical sector is evident. This was stated by Health Minister Anahit Avanesyan during a meeting with Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri, Iran's Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador to Armenia, as reported by the ministry's official website.
"We are constantly considering the possibilities of including Iranian-manufactured pharmaceuticals in the Armenian market," Avanesyan said.
Ambassador Abbas Badakhshan Zohouri expressed interest in the production of the "Sputnik Light" vaccine against COVID-19 in Armenia. He emphasized the importance of raising the level of mutual recognition between Armenia and Iran to bring bilateral cooperation in the healthcare sector to a new qualitative level.
The meeting also addressed issues related to investment projects and the development of health tourism. The minister and the ambassador discussed other programs aimed at enhancing bilateral and regional connections in the healthcare sector, as well as issues related to the integration of educational programs and experience exchange.
