Putin Decides Not to Dive into Ice in 2023: Peskov
Russian President Vladimir Putin has decided not to dive into the ice this year during the Epiphany due to pandemic-related conditions, as reported by the Kremlin's press secretary Dmitry Peskov, according to TASS.
"This year the president preferred to heed the advice of church representatives and refrain from diving into the ice due to epidemiological circumstances," Peskov said.
“Recommendations were voiced by church representatives that, in the conditions of the pandemic, one should think twice before undertaking such actions (diving into the ice). And the president decided to heed those recommendations and not dive,” he added.
