David Tonoyan Not Released from Custody: 'Hraparak'
Recently, rumors spread online that the court had released former Minister of Defense David Tonoyan under signature. However, 'Hraparak' inquired with Tonoyan’s lawyer whether the former minister had been released, and the lawyer stated that he had not been released.
Only the date for the first court hearing has been set for January 19. Therefore, they can submit a request to lift the detention on the day of the court hearing.
It is worth noting that we reported earlier that David Tonoyan is being accused of embezzling 2,277,323,840 AMD and committing fraudulent acts that pose a public danger. His detention has been chosen as a preventive measure.
In this case, the status of defendants also includes David Galstyan, head of the arms supply company to Armenia, and Stepan Galstyan, Deputy Chief of Staff, both of whom are also in custody.
