VIDEO: Deputy Minister of Defense Confirms Vagharsak Harutyunyan Signed Withdrawal Document in Syunik

Deputy Minister of Defense Arman Sargsyan confirmed that Vagharsak Harutyunyan has signed a document, and Gegham Manukyan's statements regarding this matter are true.

It is recalled that Gegham Manukyan stated: "A few weeks ago, numerous inquiries revealed that contrary to the authorities' claims over the past year, the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia have withdrawn from Syunik, the 21 km stretch of the Goris-Kapan highway has been surrendered to the enemy not due to some verbal agreements or compelling circumstances, but rather based on a treacherous memorandum.

“After my statement, Gagik Melikyan said I received this information from the Russians or Azerbaijanis. Mr. Sargsyan, please tell Gagik Melikyan that this document is on the desk of the Ministry of Defense, and Vagharsak Harutyunyan indeed signed it and kept it secret from the people for a year. For a year it was said to be verbal, but it turns out it is well documented," Manukyan emphasized before leaving the session.
