Lukashenko Calls Nazarbayev to Discuss Situation in Kazakhstan
President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko had a phone conversation today with the first President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev. This information was reported by RIA Novosti.
It was noted that Lukashenko and Nazarbayev discussed the current situation in Kazakhstan. Earlier, the President of Belarus had held talks with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Russian President Vladimir Putin, addressing current issues on the international agenda, bilateral relations, and events occurring in Kazakhstan.
It is recalled that mass protests in Kazakhstan began on the first days of January 2022. On January 4 and 5, clashes occurred in Almaty between protesters and security forces. Police used gas and stun grenades.
