City of Mayfield, Kentucky: Nearly Erased from the Face of the Earth Due to Tornado
A series of devastating tornadoes formed across the southern and central regions of the United States on Friday and Saturday due to raging storms along the coast, leading to numerous destructions. In Kentucky, the state hardest hit, the death toll is approaching 70.
The event is described as the "most powerful tornado" in Kentucky's history. More than 30 tornadoes have been reported across at least six states, including Missouri, Tennessee, and Mississippi. Meteorologists believe that one of the tornadoes may have traveled a path stretching 400 km from Arkansas to Kentucky.
