Subcutaneous Chips to Soon Arrive in Georgia
In early January 2022, Georgia plans to import up to 50,000 subcutaneous chips from the Swedish company BioHax International, said Kaha Sepiashvili, CEO of iPlus, to @SputnikGeorgia.
The company specializes in the installation of chips the size of a grain of rice, typically placed between the thumb and index finger. Negotiations with the Swedish side are in the final stages, according to Sepiashvili. At the same time, the chips intended for Georgia will have limited capabilities. “For example, in Georgia, the microchips will be able to combine functions of keys for homes and cars, as well as smart 'light bulbs.' It will also be possible to record employees' arrival times,” Sepiashvili stated.
