Ararat Mirzoyan and Sergey Lavrov Have Held a Phone Conversation
On December 8, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan had a phone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov. The foreign ministers of Armenia and Russia discussed a wide range of issues related to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
The conversation emphasized the need for the full restoration of the peace process aimed at achieving a lasting and comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict under the mandate of the OSCE Minsk Group co-chairmanship.
Mirzoyan and Lavrov also discussed the implementation of commitments undertaken by the parties in the trilateral statements of November 9, 2020, January 11, 2021, and November 26, 2021.
Minister Mirzoyan highlighted that the bellicose statements made by the Azerbaijani leadership and threats of the use of force seriously endanger regional stability and security.
