The President of Iran, Ebrahim Raisi, stated in a televised address to the nation on Sunday evening that the gas agreement signed between Iran, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan in Ashgabat could transform Iran into a regional transit hub, according to the IRNA agency.
“During the visit, a gas exchange agreement was signed between Turkmenistan, Iran, and Azerbaijan, which could serve as a solid foundation for turning Iran into a regional transit hub,” the president said.
