Turkey Sold More Bayraktar Drones to Ukraine Than Announced, Bloomberg Reports
Turkey has sold more Bayraktar TB2 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) to Ukraine than previously announced, according to a report by Bloomberg.
It has been revealed that there could be additional deliveries in the future. This includes several dozen Bayraktars already acquired by Kyiv and plans for at least 24 more UAVs.
The manufacturer Baykar and the Turkish government have not commented on this information.
Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin drew attention to the activity of Ukrainian armed forces in Donbas and the use of Turkish Bayraktar drones during a phone call with his Turkish counterpart, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
Ukraine's armed forces first deployed a Turkish drone in combat operations in Donbas on October 26. Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu also stated that equipment used after the sales agreement cannot be referred to as Turkish.
