Pentagon Chief Urges Putin to 'Lower the Temperature' at Ukraine Border
Pentagon Chief Lloyd Austin has commented on the information regarding the deployment of Russian troops at the Ukraine border. He called on the Russian President to be “more open” and to “lower the temperature in the region.”
“We hope that Putin will be more open and they will be able to work towards resolving issues and lowering the temperature in the region,” Austin stated during a joint press conference in Seoul with his South Korean counterpart, Seo Wook. He added that the U.S. is also concerned about the presence of Russian troops at the Ukrainian border.
