The U.S. May Limit Exercises in Europe to Avoid Confrontation with Russia
The Biden administration is considering several options amid the "tension" created at the border between Russia and Ukraine, including a reduction in military exercises held in Europe to avoid confrontation with Moscow. According to the Wall Street Journal, citing U.S. officials, the administration is also looking at strengthening Ukraine's defense capabilities, which includes increasing the supply of military equipment, particularly air defense systems. This option also anticipates tightening sanctions against Russia.
Another potential plan aims to reduce the risk of confrontation with Moscow, which includes decreasing the number of American military exercises in Europe. This approach also suggests halting the supply of American military aid to Kyiv.
