Turkey to Discuss Extending the Mandate of Turkish Soldiers in Russian-Turkish Monitoring Center in Artsakh
On November 9, the Turkish Grand National Assembly will debate a bill extending the mandate of Turkish soldiers in the Russian-Turkish monitoring center in Nagorno-Karabakh for another year. The bill has been initiated by Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
The main purpose of the Russian-Turkish joint center in the conflict zone of Nagorno-Karabakh is to oversee the ceasefire and the control of all military operations. This includes monitoring the implementation of the agreements reached in the tripartite statement signed by the Presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan and the Prime Minister of Armenia.
