EU Committed to Strengthening Partnership with Armenia: Meeting between Pashinyan and EU Representative
Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan received EU Special Representative for the South Caucasus and the Crisis in Georgia, Toivo Klaar, and his delegation today.
The Prime Minister expressed satisfaction with the dynamic activation of Armenia-EU dialogue and emphasized that our country values the continued development of partnership with the EU.
The EU special representative conveyed warm greetings from the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, and noted that the EU is committed to deepening its partnership with Armenia.
Prime Minister Pashinyan and the EU special representative exchanged views on the agenda of bilateral relations. They discussed prospects for promoting cooperation in various formats, including within the framework of the Eastern Partnership program.
The interlocutors addressed the issue of resolving the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict and several regionally significant matters. Both sides emphasized the importance of resuming the negotiation process within the framework of the OSCE Minsk Group, highlighting the significance of this format.
Toivo Klaar noted that the European Union is ready to assist in establishing an atmosphere of trust and dialogue in the region, which would contribute to ensuring peace and stability.
