Will a Trilateral Meeting be Held? The Purpose of Mher Grigoryan's Visit to Moscow
The delegation of the Armenian government, led by Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan, will depart for Moscow on October 20 for a two-day visit, according to the government website. The objectives of the visit have not been disclosed; however, according to information from Sputnik Armenia, a trilateral working group meeting involving the Deputy Prime Ministers of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan is scheduled to take place in the Russian capital.
Grigoryan will engage in negotiations with Alexey Overchuk and Shahin Mustafayev. The Armenian delegation includes Deputy Foreign Minister Armen Ghazaryan and Deputy Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Armen Simonyan.
It should be noted that the committee's work was temporarily suspended due to the escalation of the situation at the borders, but recently trilateral meetings have resumed.
Recall that on January 11, 2021, after negotiations between the leaders of Armenia, Russia, and Azerbaijan—Nikol Pashinyan, Vladimir Putin, and Ilham Aliyev—it was announced that a working group would be formed under the leadership of the three countries' Deputy Prime Ministers.
