Azerbaijan Punishes Armenian Citizen: Fidanian Responds to Manukyan's Alert Indicating Lack of Information
Official information has been released stating that Azerbaijani road police have fined an Armenian citizen on the Goris-Kapan road. During a session of the National Assembly's Standing Committee on Defense and Security, Gegham Manukyan, a member of the 'Armenia' faction, reported details about the incident.
“They have been given a receipt, and when our citizen asked what to do, the Azerbaijani said they can pay the fine at our police department. It was specifically noted that if they do not pay, the next time the Armenian citizen's vehicle will be seized when passing through that section and taken to the impound lot,” Manukyan said, directing a question to Deputy Chief of Police Ara Fidanian: “What should an Armenian citizen do when passing through that road regularly? There is no French police to provide an objective assessment on the road, only Azerbaijani police who can fine at any time.”
Fidanian responded that they have no such information and urged that if such incidents occur, they should be reported to them. “If such an incident has occurred, it needs comprehensive investigation, and it should be legally assessed to understand its legal consequences,” stated the deputy chief of police.
