There Is No Need to Rush into Official Recognition of the Taliban, Says Putin
There is no need to rush into the official recognition of the Taliban, stated Russian President Vladimir Putin. The Taliban movement has been designated as a terrorist organization and is banned in Russia.
“We understand that we need to cooperate with them, but there is no need to hurry. We will discuss and consult with you together,” Putin said during a speech at the Council of Heads of State of the Commonwealth of Independent States, as reported by RIA Novosti.
