Court Orders Sona Aghekyan to Deny False, Baseless, and Unreliable Information Against Marutyan
Attorney Gagik Grigoryan wrote on his Facebook page: “The Court of First Instance of Yerevan has ruled on 04.10.2021, obligating citizen Sona Aghekyan to publicly deny the false, baseless, and unreliable information directed at my client, the Mayor of Yerevan, Hayk Marutyan.
Specifically, according to the court's decision, the respondent Aghekyan is required to publicly refute the factual statements made during the press conference held on August 09, 2019, which are considered slanderous and pertain to the plaintiff, including claims regarding 'the inaction of the city authority, criminal inaction, signs of collusion and corruption, meaning a whiff of corruption..., the unprecedented level of corruption in the Yerevan City Hall, and that the mayor himself is involved in current corrupt dealings...'. The refutation video must be comparable in time and placement to the video of the press conference published on August 09, 2019.”
