Georgian Prime Minister to Visit Yerevan After Baku

Georgian Prime Minister Irakli Garibashvili is heading to Baku today, where he will participate in a bilateral intergovernmental commission meeting and meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. According to Aliq.ge, the Prime Minister announced this in an interview with Imedi TV, mentioning that he will also be visiting Yerevan soon.

“We have trust, which is the most important thing. When there is trust between the leaders of the countries, all issues will be resolved. I have a similar relationship with Mr. Pashinyan, who was in Tbilisi just a few weeks ago, and I am also preparing to visit Armenia soon,” said Garibashvili.

The Georgian Prime Minister also highlighted that for the first time in the last 30 years, Georgia acted as an important mediator between Azerbaijan and Armenia. This involved the return of 15 Armenian prisoners in exchange for a map of mined territories.

Notably, Garibashvili's visits to Baku and then Yerevan are taking place immediately after his announcement about creating a platform for dialogue in Tbilisi. He proposed establishing a high-level communication platform between Armenia and Azerbaijan in Tbilisi.
