Mistakes in Military Management During the 44-Day War, Says Andranik Kocharyan
“We did not dismantle diplomacy; rather, we inherited what was left by Serzh Sargsyan, and before him, Robert Kocharyan. This means negotiating on something that would either end in war or in the surrender of lands,” stated Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the Civil Contract Party, during a broadcast on Public Television.
Commenting on the 44-day war, Kocharyan noted, “There were mistakes in military management during the 44-day war, which we have honestly not recognized in full. The management of the army has not undergone significant changes since 2016. The contradictions and lack of understanding between its leadership, particularly the Ministry of Defense and the General Staff, created cracks that negatively impacted the management of the army and the Armed Forces.”
