Vahé Hakobyan to Ruling Party MPs: "The Syunik Airport Has Become Border Adjacent Because of You, Why Aren't You Talking About It?"
During a discussion in the National Assembly, Vahé Hakobyan, a member of the "Armenia" faction and former governor of Syunik, responded to allegations from ruling party MPs, stating, "You talk about corruption risks, but in July alone, 6.8 billion drams were distributed among 3 companies in Syunik. What is this? Was there no other company, why wasn’t a competition announced?"
Speaking about the reforms implemented during his tenure as governor, Hakobyan stated, "An airport was built in Syunik at a cost of 9 billion drams. That airport was ready for operation, but because of you, it has become adjacent to the border. Now, nobody takes responsibility for a flight from Yerevan to Kapan and back. Why aren’t you speaking about this? Since 1990, who has built an airport in Armenia?"
