Robert Kocharyan Ready to Offer Former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan a Position
The leader of the "Armenia" alliance and the second President of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, stated that he is willing to offer former Prime Minister Karen Karapetyan a chance to return to Armenia if they win the upcoming elections. Kocharyan made this announcement during an interview with Russian media, responding to a question from Sputnik Armenia.
On June 14, former Prime Minister Karapetyan released a statement expressing his support for Robert Kocharyan’s "Armenia" alliance in the upcoming elections. In response to a question regarding the likelihood and status of Karapetyan's return, Kocharyan mentioned that he regularly communicates with the former Prime Minister.
"I regret that he left. I think what happened back then was simply incorrect. In any case, there will be an offer from my side," Kocharyan stated during the interview with Sputnik Armenia, RIA Novosti, and Ruptly. When pressed for clarification on whether this topic had been discussed, the former president suggested to keep the matter "off the record."
