Azerbaijan and Iran Agree to Enhance Strategic Cooperation in All Fields
In Tehran, Azerbaijan's Deputy Prime Minister Shahin Mustafayev met today with Mahmoud Vaezi, Chief of Staff to the President of Iran. According to the Tasnim News Agency, the sides agreed to elevate the level of strategic cooperation between the two countries across all areas.
The Iranian official emphasized the importance of implementing previously signed agreements between the two countries' presidents. 'Today, appropriate conditions have been created for the realization of joint projects that had been suspended due to U.S. sanctions,' Vaezi said.
Mustafayev, for his part, highlighted that developing stronger relations with Iran is a priority in Azerbaijan's foreign policy agenda. He also pointed out the great potential for cooperation with Iran in the fields of industry, energy, transportation, agriculture, and tourism.
