Video: Kotayk Regional Governor Explains Reason for His Dismissal

The basis for my dismissal from the governor's position is my application, and it was due to a disagreement regarding staffing policies. I was offered something by my superior that was unacceptable to me, and I have remained true to my principles. This was stated by the now former governor of Kotayk, Mesrop Mesropyan, during a briefing with reporters, as he addressed the reasons for his dismissal.

The former governor chose not to name individuals, attributing this to unnecessary political speculation during the pre-election period. In response to the question of whether the disagreement was with Suren Papikyan, Mesropyan answered: 'Yes, also with Suren Papikyan. I will provide more commentary later. There has been no disagreement concerning political views; my political positions have not changed.'
