When Will Azerbaijan Sign a Peace Agreement with Armenia? Bayramov Details
Azerbaijan's Foreign Minister Jeyhun Bayramov considers the possibility of signing a peace agreement with Armenia based on the principle of mutual recognition of sovereignty and territorial integrity. This statement was made by Bayramov in Vienna while addressing a special session of the OSCE Permanent Council, according to Minval.az.
In his speech, Bayramov also discussed the restoration and reintegration of Nagorno-Karabakh, emphasizing that Azerbaijan is actively cooperating with OSCE executive bodies on this issue. He highlighted the critical importance of unblocking economic and transport communications.
As previously reported, Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev commented on the potential signing of a peace agreement with Armenia on his official Twitter account. He stated that he is ready to work on a new bilateral agreement.
“We hope that after the parliamentary elections in Armenia, there will be more clarity on this issue. The peace agreement envisions the recognition of the territorial integrity of both countries, and we are ready for that,” Aliyev wrote.
