There is a Replacement for Muradov: "Hraparak"
The newspaper "Hraparak" writes: "The commander of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in Artsakh, Muradov, already has a replacement. For the next 6 months, the service in Artsakh will be continued by the deputy commander of the Southern Military District of the Russian Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Alexey Avdeyev. He will arrive in Stepanakert today, and within two weeks, the handover of duties will take place.
Avdeyev is of Uzbek nationality, born in 1967 in Tashkent, and is a general of the motorized rifle troops. He has been awarded several honors, including the Russian Federation's "For Service to the Fatherland," 3rd and 4th classes, Zhukov, "For Military Merit," and the "Friendship" medals, along with the Suvorov medal and various commendations from other Russian authorities. Rustam Muradov is also the deputy commander of the Southern Military District.
Thanks to Muradov's efforts, 67 servicemen captured in Azerbaijan returned to their homeland. We previously reported that Deputy Prime Minister Tigran Avinyan had sent a letter to Russian authorities with negative assessments regarding Muradov and urged that his service in Artsakh not be extended, although the deputy prime minister's press spokesperson denied this information.
It is noteworthy that the commanders of peacekeeping forces are supposed to change every 6 months. If the parties do not object, the commander’s service can be extended. It should be reminded that Muradov had stated in response to a question from "Hraparak" that the Armenian authorities were misleading their own people, and after that, the Armenian authorities likely did everything to have him replaced. We attempted to verify the information regarding Muradov's replacement with the press secretary of the President of Artsakh, but he stated he was not aware of it.
