Everything is normal in Syunik. This was stated by the Deputy Governor of Syunik, Karo Avanesyan, in an interview with Tert.am.

“All the posts on Facebook are lies; everything here is normal. What they said was false,” he remarked.

In response to a question about whether border clarifications are taking place, the deputy governor stated that border clarifications happen every day. He emphasized that there is no panic.

It is worth noting that the Ministry of Defense of Armenia had issued a statement that early in the morning on May 12, Azerbaijani forces attempted to conduct certain activities in one of the border areas of Syunik under the pretext of “border clarification.” “After measures taken by the Armenian units, the Azerbaijani military halted those activities.
