Aliyev Opens Military Airport in Nakhichevan Near Armenian Border
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has inaugurated a military airport in Nakhichevan, located near the border with Armenia. This information was reported by RIA Novosti, citing the press service of the Azerbaijani president.
The airport is situated within the territory of a separate corps. During his visit, he participated in the opening ceremony of the new runway at Nakhichevan International Airport, as well as the inauguration of a central hospital, a center for artificial insemination, and the Julfa-Ordubad highway. He also reviewed the construction progress of the Ordubad hydropower station.
Aliyev last visited Nakhichevan in 2018.
