Lukashenko Announces Creation of Covid-19 Vaccine in Belarus
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko announced during a press conference that the country has developed its own vaccine against coronavirus. The information was reported by the BELTA state agency.
In February, Russia transferred technologies to Belarus for the production of a Covid-19 vaccine, and Lukashenko expressed hopes that a Belarusian medicine would be created by autumn. However, the vaccine was completed on May 6.
“We received our vaccine yesterday,” said Lukashenko.
It is worth noting that in April, information emerged that the President of Belarus had instructed to create the best COVID-19 vaccine as quickly as possible.
