Indifference Towards Everything: The Working Style of Makunts and Simidian Has Changed

According to the "Zhoghovurd" daily, sources close to the authorities have revealed that the working style of the head of the "My Step" faction in the National Assembly, Lilit Makunts, and the faction's secretary, Hakob Simidian, has drastically changed recently. Both have become indifferent to everything and, moreover, unaware of everything.

The fact is that until now, Makunts and Simidian were the ones providing solutions to any issues related to the faction, directly contacting Nikol Pashinyan. Now, according to our information, Lilit Makunts has gone silent. If there are no parliamentary sessions, finding her or making contact is nearly impossible. During the weekends, Makunts disappears from the radar altogether and does not even answer phone calls.

As for Hakob Simidian, he has always managed all issues related to the faction, sending text messages to everyone about coming to the hall and how to vote before voting sessions. However, he has now become passive or entirely absent. Moreover, we learned that when MPs address the faction secretary regarding any issues, he responds that he is unaware of anything, stating that "I am not in any topic."

According to some members of the faction, Makunts' behavior can be somewhat understood as she is likely to be appointed as Armenia's ambassador to the United States this summer, but Simidian's passivity remains unclear. There are opinions that he aspires to some position and that the parliament no longer interests him.
