Tree Felling Again at Baghramyan 79a, Residents of Nearby Buildings Oppose it: Hakob Karapetyan
Hakob Karapetyan, spokesperson for the Yerevan Municipality, wrote on his Facebook page: "Tree felling has again occurred today at Baghramyan 79a, continuing, which is opposed by residents of the nearby buildings.
In this regard, I would like to remind several points:
- The area was alienated from the community many years ago, in the early 2000s or even earlier.
- The Yerevan Municipality has not granted permission for construction in the area.
- As early as 2008, the property owner coordinated a construction project with the municipality, but has yet to receive a building permit.
- Unfortunately, the Yerevan Municipality does not have the authority to prohibit tree felling in privately owned areas.
- Nonetheless, Aram Danielyan, head of the Arabkir district, has recently applied to the prosecutor's office to investigate the legality of the grounds for the privatization of the Baghramyan 79a address."
