Officials Terrified, Avoid Participation in Prisoner Discussion Meetings: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper reports that after the unsuccessful visit of Boris Avagyan, the former deputy director of the Emergency Situations Service of Artsakh, to the National Assembly, state officials have become frightened. They are rejecting invitations from independent MPs to participate in discussions regarding prisoners, following Avagyan's dismissal after hosting independent deputies last week.
Specifically, one of the deputy foreign ministers has declined to attend, while the Ministry of Defense representative, Martikyan, who is dealing with prisoner matters, suggested obtaining permission from Defense Minister Vagharshak Harutyunyan; he promised to come to the National Assembly after receiving approval from him.
