Lavrov Assesses the Probability of War with Ukraine in Donbas
Russia's Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated in an interview with RIA Novosti that the war in Donbas with Ukraine can and must be avoided.
“As for the Ukrainian side, President Vladimir Zelensky, I am not going to speculate, as his main priority is to remain in power, and he is willing to pay any price for that, including supporting neo-Nazis and extremists who continue to label the Donbas militias as terrorists,” the minister added.
According to the agency, Western countries have recently expressed their dissatisfaction with the movements of Russian troops near Ukraine's borders. In response, the Kremlin stated that the Ministry of Defense has the discretion to relocate its personnel within the country, and this “should not concern anyone.”
