Aliyev Calls US President's Recognition of Armenian Genocide a 'Historical Mistake'
The Presidents of Azerbaijan and Turkey, Ilham Aliyev and Recep Tayyip Erdogan, condemned US President Joe Biden's statement regarding the recognition of the Armenian Genocide during a phone conversation.
According to the Azerbaijani Presidential Press Service, Aliyev described the decision as a "historical mistake" and deemed it unacceptable. He emphasized that this statement represents a serious blow to the intentions of establishing cooperation in the region.
Erdogan thanked Aliyev for his support.
