Erdogan Responds to Potential US Plans to Recognize Armenian Genocide
President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has addressed the potential plans of the United States to recognize the Armenian Genocide, stating that Turkey will continue to uphold its position regarding the events in the Ottoman Empire.
This was conveyed in a statement from Erdogan's office, released following a meeting of the Supreme Advisory Council held in Ankara on Thursday, as reported by TASS.
“Erdogan stated that Turkey will continue to defend the truth against those who lie about the so-called Armenian Genocide and support this slander for political reasons,” the statement emphasized.
