New Appointment in the NSS
The President of the Republic of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian, has signed a decree appointing Andranik Simonian as the Deputy Director of the National Security Service (NSS) of the Republic of Armenia. This information was reported by the Public Relations Department of the President's Office.
“Based on the Prime Minister’s proposal, under the first part of Article 133 of the Constitution, as well as the second part of Article 18 of the Law on Service in the National Security Bodies, Andranik Simonian is appointed as the Deputy Director of the National Security Service of the Republic of Armenia,” states the presidential decree.
Prior to this, Andranik Simonian was relieved of his duties as the Deputy Chairman of the Investigative Committee by a decision of the Prime Minister.
