If I Were Standing Next to Erdogan, I Would Just Spit in His Face: Famous Turkish Basketball Player
Turkish-American basketball player Enes Kanter, known for his critical statements against President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has once again caught the attention of the Turkish media.
“What would I tell Erdogan if I met him? I would call him a dictator. He is a self-centered man who uses his power to violate human rights. He wants to be the most important person in Turkey. Any journalist who speaks against him ends up in prison the very next day. If I were standing next to Erdogan, I would probably not exchange a single word with him, I would just spit in his face,” the basketball player stated, as reported by Ermenihaber.
It is notable that Kanter had previously announced plans to accept U.S. citizenship.
