Andranik Kocharyan: We Must Talk to Our Neighbors, If We Don’t, Others Will Speak for Us

The Chairman of the National Assembly's Defense and Security Committee, Andranik Kocharyan, a member of the 'My Step' faction, responded to a question during a CivilNet interview regarding whether we perceive Turkey as an enemy or not. He stated, 'We must talk to our neighbors; if we do not, others will speak for us in one way or another.'

'However, in our relations with Turkey, we must keep in mind that a genocide occurred in 1915, for which the people of Armenia are the claimants. Now Turkey must also realize that in order to rectify relations, it requires not just statements from political figures, but constructive steps as well,' Kocharyan added.
