Turkey's Border Should Be Opened, But Not Now. Hohikyan Explains Why

Expert Nairi Hohikyan has stated that he has been studying neighboring countries of Armenia for over 15 years, with 11 of those years spent in those countries (excluding Azerbaijan). Turkey and Azerbaijan have been under his professional scrutiny since the time many of today’s high-ranking officials were still in school, unaware of the nature of Turkey.

When officials, from the Prime Minister to the Secretary of the Security Council or a group of deputies, make serious statements about reconsidering their positions, do they at least know what Turkey is? Are they aware of Turkey's entire economic potential, the deep state programs of that country, or what Turkey would do to them if the borders were opened under the current circumstances? They do not know. They cannot know, as they lack knowledge, life experience, or the desire to learn.

Ask experts on Turkey, and they will explain what Turkey is. They will tell you how, over the course of 1-2 years, Turkish capital will first take over the Armenian market and then destroy Armenian production.

The border with Turkey should be opened, but not now. Years and prerequisites are needed for this: a solid legislative field, public immunity, and, most importantly, a government with a state-oriented mindset.

We lack any of these prerequisites, thus we must forget about opening the Turkish border or changing attitudes for now. Ignorance is not a shame; being foolish is.
