Khachatur Sukiasyan has not been an oligarch since 2008, says Vahagn Hovakimyan
On March 25, during a conversation with Petros Ghazaryan, Vahagn Hovakimyan, a member of the Armenian National Assembly’s My Step faction, stated that Khachatur Sukiasyan has not been an oligarch since 2008.
He spoke in response to Gevorg Danielyan's opinion that the authorities want significant donations from known oligarchs. “We do not have sympathetic oligarchs; if you say large businessman, I will agree. Khachatur Sukiasyan has not been an oligarch since 2008, because he lost a significant part of his wealth due to his political views, while an oligarch is a businessman who uses power for his own benefit,” Hovakimyan added.
