Joe Biden Cancels US Entry Ban for Several Countries Including Iran
U.S. President Joe Biden has signed an order to cancel the entry ban for citizens of several Muslim countries. According to Reuters, the restrictions imposed on Iran, Yemen, Libya, Syria, Somalia, and Chad have been lifted.
In addition, Biden called on his administration to strengthen the DACA program, which protects migrants who arrived in the U.S. as children from deportation. The executive order was signed shortly after his inauguration. It is noteworthy that the ban was initially imposed by Trump just after taking office in 2017.
