Today’s Temperature Increased by 2-3 Degrees Compared to January 10, Says Surenyan
Warm air currents from the southwest are flowing into the territory of Armenia. This will contribute to the dispersal of the stagnant cold air in the Ararat Plain and Yerevan. In an interview with Armenpress, the Deputy Director of the Hydro-Meteorological and Monitoring Center, Gagik Surenyan, noted that the area has already been somewhat affected by these incoming currents.
“Today, compared to the same time on January 10, the temperature has already increased by 2-3 degrees. In the upcoming days, the situation will soften noticeably, and the air temperature will rise by about 3-4 degrees, especially noticeable on January 14-15,” said Gagik Surenyan. He pointed out that it is warm in Tavush and Syunik, where temperatures have reached up to +18 degrees. In Lori, the air temperature has been as high as +14 degrees. Only in the Ararat Plain and Yerevan is the thermal background low, but changes are already being observed.
