Sotk Mine Currently Operating at Limited Capacities: Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure
The Sotk mine is currently operating at limited capacities. This was reported to Tert.am by the press secretary of the Ministry of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure, Armine Muradyan. At this time, Armine Muradyan did not provide any further details.
It is worth recalling that on December 1, 2020, Armine Muradyan stated that the mine was still closed at that time and negotiations were ongoing. She mentioned that it was unclear how long the negotiations would continue, as the issue was still in the process of resolution.
“The negotiation is a matter of inter-agency scope, so I cannot answer that question,” she said.
Additionally, in November 2020, it became clear that the Sotk gold mine would be divided equally between the Armenian side and the Azerbaijani side. The demarcations were carried out using GPS technology.
