Armenian POWs Held in Azerbaijani Prisons Amid Discussions on Transport Corridors
Armenian prisoners of war are being held in Azerbaijani prisons while discussions on transport corridors are ongoing. This was reported by Edmon Marukyan, the leader of the 'Enlightened Armenia' faction, on his Facebook page.
'All Armenian embassies in capitals around the world and our diplomatic representatives in international organizations must work tirelessly to raise the issue of the return of Armenian POWs and apply international pressure based on international humanitarian law (Geneva Conventions) on Azerbaijani authorities, who have committed to this in the ceasefire agreement. This is not only behavior that does not correspond to the civilized world of the 21st century, but also an international crime that must be raised on all platforms,' he wrote.
