Ishkhan Saghatelyan Summoned to the Investigative Committee
On December 22, 2020, during a rally held in Republic Square of the Republic of Armenia, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the Supreme Body of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation, made statements that allegedly contained features of a crime under Article 301.1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Armenia.
These statements reportedly involved the use of violence or threats of violence against members of the National Assembly of Armenia in order to compel them to perform or refrain from performing actions within the scope of their powers.
In connection with this, materials are being prepared to verify the legality and sufficiency of grounds for initiating a criminal case. To provide clarification on the circumstances of the incident, Saghatelyan was summoned to the Investigative Division for Serious Crimes in Yerevan on December 23, 2020, where he provided explanations regarding the situation.
