No Civilian Population in Hin Tagher and Khzlaberd Villages; Information on Casualties Being Clarified, Says Prime Minister
In the villages of Hin Tagher and Khzlaberd in the Hadrut region of Artsakh, there has been no civilian population. According to preliminary information, six servicemen from the Armenian side have been injured as a result of the opponent's attack, and information about other casualties is being clarified since the area where they may be located is currently inaccessible.
This was announced by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a live broadcast on his Facebook page.
“In recent days, we have experienced the most serious escalation of the military situation since November 9. Last Saturday, taking advantage of the fact that Russian peacekeepers had not yet been deployed in the area, special forces of the Azerbaijani military launched an assault in the direction of the villages of Hin Tagher and Khzlaberd in the Hadrut region of Artsakh and seized control of those settlements. I must say that there has been no civilian population in that area,” said Pashinyan.
As a result of the actions, six servicemen of the Artsakh Defense Army were injured. According to the Prime Minister, there are reports of other casualties, which are being clarified. “The area where casualties may be located is currently inaccessible, and measures are being taken to ensure access there,” he stated.
