Passengers of Moscow-New York Flight Evacuated Due to Bomb Threat
Passengers on an Aeroflot flight have been evacuated at John F. Kennedy International Airport due to a reported bomb threat. According to Fox News, the evacuation was prompted by information regarding a potential explosion on the aircraft, according to data from the New York and New Jersey Port Authority.
The Russian Embassy in the United States stated that it is closely monitoring the situation with the Aeroflot flight arriving from Moscow to New York. The embassy has expressed willingness to provide consular assistance to Russian citizens if necessary.
Later, John F. Kennedy Airport announced on its Twitter account that it is "fully open, and flights are operating without delays." It was also noted that all "emergency measures" have been completed.
Earlier, several media outlets reported that passengers arriving from Moscow on the Aeroflot flight were being monitored by transportation police, according to Interfax.
