Let December 7 Be a Day of Pride and Hope for Armenia: Jonathan Lacôte
The Ambassador of France to Armenia, Jonathan Lacôte, made a post on his Facebook page reflecting on the anniversary of the devastating Spitak earthquake.
“On December 7, 1988, at 11:00, the country was shaken from Spitak to Leninakan. My warm thoughts are with those who agreed to share with me the memory of this day during my visit to Armenia, where in just one minute, people lost all that was dear to them. Today, I admire their strength, which enabled them to stand up and return to the course of life. Let December 7, a Day of Mourning, also be a day of pride and hope for Armenia,” he stated.
