I Do Not Have an Army of Fake Accounts: I Only Have One Apartment in an Apartment Building – Alen Simonyan

The Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Alen Simonyan, wrote on his Facebook page: “Dear friends, during these days, certain groups have launched a media campaign against me. The goal is to attribute to me some kind of army of fake accounts that insults the parents of a soldier, the sisters, and different artists.

The next thesis is that I supposedly have acquired unimaginable wealth, that I own land in the Vahagni district, that I have a plot in Davtashen, another in Jrvezh, and that counting the number of Range Rovers I supposedly own has become challenging. By the way, they claim that I bought all this property allegedly one day before the war, during the war, or that I am constantly buying now.

So, dear compatriots, understanding that the amount of misinformation out there is so extensive that it is already difficult to distinguish the truth from the lies, I inform you that I do not have any army of fake accounts, I have never had one, and I do not intend to have one either. I consider it a disreputable and useless endeavor for myself. Ascribing my own inability and failures to the perceived armies of others or defaming me to sow hatred is simply pointless.

Regarding the fairy tales about my wealth: I only own one apartment in an apartment building and have a substantial loan at the bank for this apartment. As for the vehicle, I have one 2014 HUNDAI ix35, which is driven by my wife. The assets of me and my family exist, have existed, and will be declared.

Assigning the wealth of my friends, family members, acquaintances, and relatives to me and gaining headlines from it is also futile. I consider the prevailing situation in Armenia, where hatred, tension, and animosity towards each other are being sown, to be unacceptable and directed against the security of Armenia and Artsakh.
